OPVL Analysis on pictures of Italy's and Spain's cultures

OPVL Analysis 1

The first source is an old photograph of the Colosseum, which was a theatre as well as a battlefield for gladiatorial contests. The stage could hold at least 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. The architecture is used in present time as a reminder of the past efforts and unpleasant sacrifices. People, customarily visit the Colosseum. They consider the Colosseum merely just a famous sculpture. Though, aren't aware of its previous arrangement usage.  Despite this, the Colosseum will now remain a remarkable architecture, of Italy, that has inspired other designs in the past. Such as the Pompeii Amphitheatre. Which was included in the Vesuvius eruption, that occurred in March 1944.

This Photograph of the Colosseum was shot in 1980. Taking place in Rome where the usual Coliseum stands. The photo was shot just a few years ago and is a remarkable example of the art in Italy. It gives us a close shot on the patterns of the Colosseum. This allows further analysis on the colosseums design.  The Colosseum was built in 70 AD. It was originally developed as entertainment, though, now we see battling differently.

The purpose of this picture is to show the architecture and art of Italy, in the past. Its aim is also to determine how the Colosseum has evolved through time. Since the Colosseum has a  long history, the picture is showing how modernly it has changed. I believe, not much has changed about the Colosseum through time expect for its distinct appearance, though, a lot has changed in the general architecture of Italy.

The photograph tells us a lot about the style of Italian architectors, it shows us, Italian sense of style. Meaning, not very modern, though unique. Quite similar to Greece's style, in which people decorate their homes using soft and sowed cloth. I believe citizens in Italy possess an old and refined sense of style. Meaning, un-modern. It seems they aren't city people, instead come from an area where ancient things are valuable and used as decorations. People in Italy, also cherish bright colours, especially the colour green and orange. Though, this picture is lacking to show how bright colours are interpreted or how decorations are placed in homes.

This picture represents a traditional Italian wedding. Containing all ceremonial belongings, providing all regular features of a traditional Italian wedding. This is what it would be like at an Italian wedding. It is the tradition that a marriage should be located within a church. For some, it is considered a required need to have a wedding in the church. Some families force their kids to do so. Though, leave them to have their party wherever they desire.

The painting comes from present time. It isn't from the past; it just originates from an ordinary traditional Italian wedding. We can tell, though that it is an Italian city in which this church is located because of how the church is situated and positioned. You can inspect that the vogue of the surroundings, especially the roof, are all coloured in golden, white and grey colours. WE can also notice that what the priest (Prete) in Italian is wearing a traditional Italian (Prete) gown.

In the Picture, it reveals a lot about the traditions and daily customs of italian weddings. For example, shows the traditional dress of the (prete). As well as how Latin churches look like and how they are inconsistent to modern churches. It also shows how the wedding is progressed, meaning what happens in it. It shows how the hosts must take a seat in front. Later, recite a few words and eat a piece of bread. This gives a spiritual offering as if you were eating with Jesus Christ.

In a picture, though, there are therefore some slight Limitations to the whole through knowledge which the photograph could have shown. For one, Italian confetti is one of the grand traditions of Italy. The confetti is candy that is thrown after the ceremony within the church.

In this picture, it shows daily life in Spain. It furtherly shows the older style of cities in Spain. We can observe how in the past architectors in Spain usually used particular kind of methods, which includes a un-modern or classic styles. The styles are all different and combine. It sometimes looks like Christmas decorations, however, is actually a combination of completely different styles to form one.

The origin of this picture or the setting is conveniently located at the bottom of the image; it seems like an old picture or painting since the surroundings are un-neat and quite old. This photo was taken in, 1712, at 34 - Madrid Calle de Alcala Gran Via. The location in Madrid is quite famous, which makes the image memorable as well. Not much has changed if you see the present and past of this similar area.

The purpose of this image is to confirm, how the past of Spain was. It is telling us about Spain's surroundings and how it looks like externally.  The image, in my belief,  is trying to teach us how the development of Spain occurred. Though can be used in observations just like this to accumulate more knowledge about a particular area and it's external appearance.

This picture provides many values to our knowledge, helps us build more aspects of culture. These arrive in our presence mainly from how the image includes, the styles and details of each building, this, helps us understand the forms of art of each Spanish architect.

Though, despite showing the main points of the external view, the interior view of Spain is yet missing, which is something the picture could have included to apprehend the topic or Purpose more deeply.
